The City of Fremont is preparing to launch a new chatbot on the City website, Fremont.gov, in early 2027. This digital assistant will make it easier for residents to access City information, find services, and connect with resources.
The new chatbot will provide 24/7 access to information through an easy-to-use conversational interface. Website visitors will be able to ask questions, find information, submit service requests, and more, at their convenience. This new interface will include AI-powered search, multilingual support, web chat, and voice services designed to improve accessibility, convenience, and engagement.
Before the launch, we need your help!
We're inviting the community to participate in a poll to help select the name and identity of Fremont's new digital assistant that reflects Fremont's community spirit. Community members will have the opportunity to vote for one of three concept chatbots that reflect different aspects of Fremont's identity, history, and community character:
Lizzy the Goose – Inspired by Lake Elizabeth and the Canada geese that have become one of Fremont's most recognizable residents.
Monty the Sabercat – Inspired by Fremont's name, the city's unique paleontological heritage, and the prehistoric sabercats that once roamed the region during the Irvingtonian Age.
Scout the Innovator – Inspired by Fremont’s reputation as a hub of innovation, advanced manufacturing, technology, and entrepreneurship, as well as by the creativity, ingenuity, and forward-thinking spirit that continue to shape the city’s future.
Take our poll to learn more about each chatbot option and vote for your favorite!
Please keep in mind that images and designs included in our poll are concept illustrations only. The final visual design may slightly differ from what is shown and will be refined based on final branding considerations with the City's vendor.
The poll will remain open until Wednesday, November 4.
Spread the word! Share the poll with family and friends and help us select a digital website assistant that represents the unique spirit and character of Fremont!
Thanks for participating!
